Developmental Disabilities Behavioral Support Specialist
About The Position
ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions provides individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, people with developmental disabilities, and people affected by extreme trauma. The Behavioral Support Specialist works with clients and consults with a licensed clinician to address individual needs. The role may serve individuals or groups, provide service planning and care coordination, and deliver interventions, treatment options, daily living skills restoration, and crisis prevention services. The position is Monday through Friday, with some flexibility, and requires travel throughout an assigned service area.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, a high school diploma, or three or more years of relevant field experience.
- Have related experience or training with mental or behavioral health conditions.
- Have a valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Be willing to travel throughout the assigned service area.
Responsibilities
- Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services to clients in consultation with a licensed clinician to assist with individual needs.
- Plan individualized supports or coordinate healthcare, behavioral health, and non-healthcare services, including development of a treatment plan.
- Provide linkage, interventions, treatment options, restoration of daily living skills, and crisis prevention services.
- Provide services to individual clients or groups of clients.
- Promote positive and cooperative relationships with outside contacts.
