About The Position

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions provides individualized care to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, people with developmental disabilities, and people experiencing extreme trauma. The Developmental Disabilities Behavioral Support Specialist works with clients as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes mental health counselors, social workers, certified nurse practitioners, case managers, and psychiatrists. The position provides therapeutic behavioral services in consultation with a licensed clinician and supports individualized planning, treatment, daily living skills, and crisis prevention. The role is Monday through Friday, with some flexibility, and requires travel throughout an assigned service area.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, a high school diploma, or three or more years of relevant field experience.
• Related experience or training with mental or behavioral health conditions.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services to clients in consultation with a licensed clinician to address individual needs.
• Provide service planning for individualized supports, or coordinate healthcare, behavioral health, and non-healthcare services and develop a treatment plan.
• Provide linkage, interventions, treatment options, restoration of daily living skills, and crisis prevention services.
• Provide services to individual clients or groups of clients.
• Promote positive and cooperative relationships with outside contacts.
