About The Position

As a Detention Security Officer in Columbia, South Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control and badge processes. You will provide customer service and clear communication while responding professionally to site needs. The role is part of a collaborative team guided by care, teamwork, and integrity. The position is full-time and pays $17.95 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
