About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for entrance management at a technology-focused location in West Columbia, South Carolina. The officer will help maintain a welcoming and secure environment by managing badge access, monitoring entry points, responding to alarms, documenting security-related activity, and providing customer service to employees and visitors. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and pays $17.51 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entrances, exits, visitor management systems, and access credentials; verify authorization and direct individuals according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document and escalate concerns according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter, to identify unauthorized access and security concerns.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, key, and incident records.
Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
