About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer at a visitor entrance in Hardeeville, South Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication while supporting daily operations.

The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate entry and exit records for employees, contractors, drivers, and delivery personnel.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, shipments, and personnel according to site procedures, escalating irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
