Security Officer Full Time Visitor Management
About The Position
As a full-time Security Officer in Visitor Management in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, you will serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting. You will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, assisting patients, visitors, and staff, communicating clearly, responding to security-related concerns, and supporting routine patrols. The role requires agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $15.95 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access to authorized areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and following site-specific entry procedures.
- Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
- Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, and access-control concerns.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
