About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring detailers for its flat-rate detail shop in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The role involves driving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles while maintaining the store’s facilities and providing customers with high-quality service, courteous interactions, and timely responses to inquiries or complaints. The company is seeking Detail Specialist 1 candidates with some experience and Detail Specialist 2 candidates with at least two years of experience. Detailers wash and finish vehicle exteriors, vacuum and clean interiors, dry surfaces, and apply protective products. Work may also include waxing and buffing, applying dyes or paints to protect leather or fabric, and removing grease from engines or engine compartments. Employees must follow safety practices and uniform and grooming standards, inspect their own work and teammates’ work, and take on additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs. This physically demanding position involves frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting into and out of vehicles. Work may take place outdoors in varying weather, and employees move numerous vehicles during the day. The role requires attention to small imperfections, clear communication, and a sense of urgency in serving customers. Compensation is flat rate. Requirements

Detail Specialist 1: some experience; Detail Specialist 2: at least two years of experience.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Desire to treat each customer's vehicle with care and respect.
Commitment to arrive on time and stay on task during the shift.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays when needed to meet production needs.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections in vehicle detailing and maintain quality standards.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication; clarity of vision and hearing.
Ability to perform frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and repeated entry into and exit from vehicles.
Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds.
Successful completion of drug and background screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain store facilities to support high-quality service.
Drive, detail, and clean vehicles.
Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions; wax and buff vehicles as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and surfaces.
Dry surfaces with air compressors and cloths and apply preservation chemicals to protect surfaces from spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric when required.
Clean and remove grease from engines or engine compartments when required.
Inspect personal work and the work of other team members for quality.
Respond to customer inquiries or complaints courteously and help establish timely conclusions.
Carry out additional duties assigned by management due to operational needs.
Follow safe work practices and uniform and grooming standards.
