About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring detailers for its flat-rate detail shop in Lakewood, Colorado. Detailers maintain the facility and prepare vehicles to provide high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The role includes driving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles, responding courteously to customer inquiries or complaints, and completing work promptly. Openings are listed for Detail Specialist 1 (some experience) and Detail Specialist 2 (two or more years of experience).

Requirements

• A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Care and respect when handling customers’ personal vehicles.
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to stay on task during the shift.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual-shift vehicles.
• Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays when needed to meet production needs.
• For Detail Specialist 1: some experience.
• For Detail Specialist 2: two or more years of experience.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening is required for employment.
• Ability to distinguish small imperfections and assess detailing quality.
• Ability to communicate orally and maintain clarity of vision and hearing.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions.
• Wax and buff vehicles with cloths and buffing machines as needed.
• Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and other surfaces.
• Dry surfaces with air compressors and cloths, and apply preservation chemicals to protect against spots and stains.
• Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric as needed.
• Clean grease from engines or engine compartments as needed.
• Drive and move vehicles during the workday.
• Maintain store facilities and provide courteous, timely customer service.
• Inspect the quality of their own work and that of other team members.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by management to meet operational needs.
• Follow uniform and grooming standards and work with urgency to respect customers’ time.
