About The Position
Bergstrom Automotive is hiring a Detailer for its Appleton Depot / Refurbishment Center. The role involves cleaning and preparing vehicles to meet the company’s standards for presentation before they are returned to guests or placed on the sales lot. The Detailer applies protective treatments, inspects vehicles, maintains detailing equipment and a safe, organized work area, and coordinates with service and sales teams to manage the workload. The schedule is Monday through Friday, either 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The posting lists a salary range of $15.00–$19.00 per hour and states that pay starts at $15.00–$18.00 per hour based on experience. Employees earn an additional $2.00 per hour worked on Saturdays.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Commitment to providing guests with a high level of service and quality.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in automotive detailing or a related field.
- Familiarity with detailing products, tools, and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean, polish, and wax vehicle exteriors and interiors, including washing, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning upholstery.
- Inspect vehicles for damage, defects, or areas needing additional attention and report findings to the service team.
- Ensure vehicles meet Bergstrom Automotive’s standards for cleanliness and presentation before returning them to guests or placing them on the sales lot.
- Maintain and clean detailing equipment and keep the work area organized and safe.
- Apply protective vehicle treatments, such as paint sealants, leather conditioners, and fabric protectants.
- Work with service and sales teams to prioritize and manage the detailing workload.
