About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring flat-rate detailers for its detail shop in Denver/Thornton, Colorado. The role involves driving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles while maintaining store facilities and delivering high-quality service. Detailers are expected to provide courteous service, respond promptly to customer inquiries or complaints, and help ensure customer satisfaction. The posting identifies openings for Detail Specialist 1, requiring some experience, and Detail Specialist 2, requiring more than two years of experience. The work is physically demanding and may take place outdoors in varying climate conditions. Detailers move numerous vehicles during the workday and repeatedly bend, lift, reach, squat, and get in and out of vehicles. Employees may be assigned additional duties by management based on operational needs.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual-shift vehicles.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Willingness to treat customers' personal vehicles with care and respect.
Punctuality and ability to stay on task during the shift.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays as needed to meet production needs.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections and inspect work quality.
Ability to communicate clearly and receive detailed information orally.
Ability to bend, lift, reach, squat, and repeatedly get in and out of vehicles during the work shift.
Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds.
Some experience for Detail Specialist 1; more than two years of experience for Detail Specialist 2.
Successful completion of drug and background screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Wash vehicle exteriors using various cleaning solutions.
Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and surfaces.
Dry surfaces using air compressors and cloths, and apply preservation chemicals to protect surfaces from spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric as needed.
Clean grease from engines or engine compartments as needed.
Drive, detail, and clean vehicles, including moving numerous vehicles during the workday.
Maintain store facilities to support high-quality service.
Provide courteous customer service, respond to customer inquiries or complaints promptly, and help ensure customer satisfaction.
Inspect the quality of personal work and that of other team members.
Carry out additional duties assigned by management due to operational needs.
Follow uniform and grooming standards and work with urgency to respect customers' time.
