About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring detail specialists for a flat-rate detail shop at an auto dealership in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The position focuses on maintaining store facilities and delivering high-quality vehicle detailing and customer service. Detailers drive, detail, and clean vehicles; respond courteously and promptly to customer inquiries or complaints; and work to ensure customer satisfaction. The company is seeking a Detail Specialist 1 with some experience and a Detail Specialist 2 with two or more years of experience. The role involves washing vehicle exteriors, waxing and buffing, vacuuming interiors, cleaning upholstery and surfaces, drying surfaces with air compressors and cloths, and applying protective chemicals. Depending on the work, detailers may use dyes, paints, and waxes on vehicle fabrics or leather, and clean grease from engines or engine compartments. Employees must be willing to perform additional duties assigned by management as operational needs require. This is physically demanding work that involves repeated movement and working with numerous vehicles. Work may take place outdoors in varying climate conditions. Detailers are expected to inspect their own work and that of teammates, follow uniform and grooming standards, and work with urgency and care for customers’ vehicles and time. Compensation is flat rate. Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Desire to treat each customer's personal vehicle with care and respect.
Reliability in arriving on time and staying on task during the shift.
Availability to work Saturdays or Sundays and holidays as needed to meet production needs.
Ability to perform physically demanding work involving frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and repeatedly getting into and out of vehicles.
Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections in detailing work, such as streaks, smudges, or missed vacuuming.
Clear vision and hearing, and ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Ability to adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
Successful completion of drug and background screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
