About The Position

The Design Sales Specialist/Home Stylist inspires customers to express themselves in their homes by providing design assistance and completing sales. The role includes one-on-one design consultations in the store and in customers’ homes, developing design plans tailored to customers’ needs and living spaces, and maintaining customer engagement with the brand. The specialist also supports customers at the cash wrap and provides a range of special services, while working toward sales and productivity goals.

Requirements

Strong communication, clienteling, and customer follow-up skills.
Ability to complete and coordinate complex large orders across a variety of sales channels.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
1–2 years of customer service and retail sales experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct one-on-one design consultations in the store and in customers’ homes to help with living-space design and drive store sales.
Measure and assess customers’ living spaces during in-home consultations.
Create and present design plans based on customers’ needs, style, preferences, and living spaces.
Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions to achieve and exceed sales and productivity goals.
Assist customers with special services, including gift wrap, gift registry, merchandise locating, catalog and internet orders, special orders, back orders, charge sends, courier deliveries, and furniture orders.
Demonstrate product knowledge, including features and benefits across the design studio assortment.
Assist customers and complete sales at the cash wrap, helping bring the shopping experience to a seamless close and encouraging continued engagement with the brand.
