About The Position

As a Deputy Store Manager at Lidl, you will work on the shop floor and behind the scenes, managing cash processes, monitoring stock integrity, and supporting and inspiring colleagues. You will take responsibility for the store and lead by example when the Store Manager is absent. The role includes a competitive salary of £38,000–£46,000 per annum and benefits intended to support employee well-being and life outside work. Lidl offers training and opportunities to progress.

• Experience leading and developing a team in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to support colleagues and communicate with customers in a friendly, open way.
• Time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence supporting the team through every shift.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to monitor, manage, and improve KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Set a strong example for the Store Team and customers.
• Independently manage the store when the Store Manager is absent.
• Motivate and support the team in line with Company Values.
• Check and work deliveries, manage the till area, and monitor KPIs.
• Provide friendly customer service and help with customer queries.
• Comply with health and safety laws, standards, and guidelines.
