Deputy Director of Electric Operations
About The Position
The Deputy Director of Electric Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Electric Department and supervises first- and second-line supervisors within electric operations. The position requires experience in program and process management and in the design and operation of an electrical transmission and distribution system, including substation construction and maintenance, power system protection and coordination, and knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards. The full salary range is $76,835–$125,673. Starting salary is dependent on qualifications (DOQ). The position will remain open until filled.
Requirements
- Six years of experience in program and process management.
- Four years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in the design and operation of an electrical transmission and distribution system, including substation construction and maintenance and power system protection and coordination.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code, National Electric Safety Code, and electric industry standards.
- Valid vehicle operator license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with City policy.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor’s degree with coursework in electrical engineering, business, or a related field is desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
