About The Position
Service Depot Technicians at Baxter independently repair lifesaving medical devices so they can be returned to hospitals that have rented or purchased them. Technicians are trained to work with Baxter devices and apply their existing mechanical or technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. They document servicing activity in the appropriate ERP system. The role is based in a service center and includes in-house servicing, repairs, preventative maintenance, and software and hardware updates performed in accordance with product service manuals. The goal is to ensure devices perform and operate to specification.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate and understand the Internet, intranet, and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Obtain and maintain a required DOT physical card.
- Prior technical or mechanical repair work.

- Applicable technical or trade school training.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning components to ensure medical-device quality and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Select and use appropriate troubleshooting software to make adjustments and repairs.
- Select and use appropriate tools to make adjustments and repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, reconcile activity, and report in the appropriate ERP system.
- Maintain an organized service work area in alignment with 5S policies.
- Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contracts.
- Load, unload, and remove medical products weighing up to 1,680 pounds.
- Safely operate a fleet vehicle or company car, from a cargo van to a 26,000-pound truck.
