About The Position

The Depot Manager oversees day-to-day operations at ConGlobal’s Oakland Maritime and Oakland Burma locations. The role is responsible for the safety, efficiency, and quality of depot services involving the inspection, repair, maintenance, and storage of equipment such as containers, chassis, refrigerated containers, and gensets. It also includes equipment sales and developing a high-performing team that delivers excellent service to internal and external customers. The manager oversees employees, ensures compliance with regulations and company policies, monitors operational performance and KPIs, and manages depot activities to meet customer commitments. The role contributes to operational goals for production, profitability, safety, and compliance, while building customer relationships and supporting employee performance and development.

Requirements

Proven experience in depot operations management, port operations, logistics, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on employee development and fostering a positive workplace culture.
In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and industry regulations for depot operations.
Ability to monitor and analyze operational performance, including KPIs, and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and service quality.
Excellent customer relationship management skills and ability to manage internal and external customer expectations.
Solid understanding of equipment maintenance and repair processes for containers, chassis, refrigerated containers, gensets, and similar equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve operational challenges in a timely manner.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, external partners, and union representatives.
Must pass a pre-employment background verification and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Oversee employees’ day-to-day work to maintain a safe and productive workplace consistent with company standards and regulations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies and procedures related to depot operations.
Monitor operational activities and track KPIs against acceptable standards.
Manage depot activities and service quality to meet customer needs and commitments.
Assist in developing depot goals and objectives for production, profitability, safety, and compliance, aligned with regional and business unit goals.
Monitor employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and take appropriate action to maintain a productive workforce.
Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers to support continued business and customer satisfaction.
Oversee operations at both the Oakland Maritime and Oakland Burma locations.
Support equipment sales and the development of a high-performing team.
