About The Position

The Department Manager is responsible for driving company objectives for profit and loss control, sales performance, customer satisfaction, and shrink results in the assigned area. The role focuses on developing and leading a strong team while increasing sales and profits. It requires hands-on leadership and management, applying general operating procedures as well as individual judgment to ensure successful operation of the area.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of retail experience.
• Flexibility to work any open store hours.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and profitability through customer satisfaction.
• Ensure planograms are executed.
• Ensure merchandise is properly priced, displayed, and stocked according to appropriate inventory levels.
• Supervise, train, and develop staff in the functions required to run the assigned area.
• Ensure employees provide outstanding customer service to meet customer needs.
• Know and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Oversee the assigned area through effective delegation and management of work, employees, time, and resources.
• Maintain working knowledge of products and services.
• May operate a forklift or industrial truck to assist with loading, unloading, or moving merchandise and materials.
• Maintain awareness of hazards in the store that could affect employees or customers.
• Handle customer complaints, questions, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
