About The Position

Department Managers are responsible for driving company objectives in profit and loss control, sales performance, customer satisfaction, and shrink results. The role focuses on developing and leading a team while increasing sales and profits in the assigned area. It requires hands-on leadership and management expertise, following general operating procedures, and exercising individual judgment to ensure successful operation of the area.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of retail experience.
• Flexibility to work any open store hours.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and profitability through customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all planograms are executed.
• Ensure merchandise is properly priced, displayed, and stocked according to appropriate inventory levels.
• Supervise, train, and develop staff in functions required to run the assigned area.
• Ensure employees provide outstanding customer service to satisfy customer needs.
• Know and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Oversee the assigned area through effective delegation and management of work, employees, time, and resources.
• Maintain working knowledge of products and services.
• May operate a forklift or industrial truck to assist with loading, unloading, or moving merchandise and materials.
• Maintain awareness of hazards in the store that may affect employees or customers.
• Promptly handle customer complaints, questions, or concerns professionally and in a friendly manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
