About The Position

The Department Manager is responsible for driving company objectives in profit and loss control, sales performance, customer satisfaction, and shrink results. The role focuses on developing and leading a team while increasing sales and profits in the assigned area of the retail store. It involves hands-on leadership and management, following general operating procedures, and exercising individual judgment to ensure the successful operation of the area.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of retail experience.
• Flexibility to work any open store hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and profitability through customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all planograms are executed.
• Ensure merchandise is properly priced, displayed, and stocked according to appropriate inventory levels.
• Supervise, train, and develop staff in the functions required to run the assigned area.
• Ensure employees provide outstanding customer service to satisfy customer needs.
• Be familiar with and enforce all policies and procedures.
• Oversee the assigned area through effective delegation and management of work, employees, time, and resources.
• Maintain working knowledge of products and services.
• May operate a forklift or industrial truck to assist with loading, unloading, or moving merchandise and materials.
• Maintain safety awareness and identify hazards in the store that may affect employees or customers.
• Promptly handle customer complaints, questions, or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
