About The Position

The Department Manager leads as the Agronomics expert in the branch, working closely with customers to address department needs and ensure excellent service. The role supports the Branch Manager with sales and operations planning, forecasting, inventory management, and execution of supply and demand plans. It also promotes a safe workplace, develops agronomic staff, supports teamwork and continuous improvement, and helps implement new technologies and ways of working to improve business performance.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and management skills.
• Experience with sales and operations planning and forecasting.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of green industry experience and an understanding of agronomic or lawn care maintenance products.
• For internal candidates only: Line of Business (LOB) Certification Level I or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager with sales and operations planning, statistical demand forecasting, and integration of supply and demand plans.

• Apply inventory management principles and understand target customer mix and sales.

• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working that positively affect business performance.
• Support other branch departments and customers as needed.
