About The Position

The Department Manager is responsible for merchandising and sales within the assigned Clothing/Footwear department at the Sioux Falls E. 10th Street location. The role provides the highest level of customer service and reports to the Store Manager. Extensive knowledge and understanding of clothing, footwear, and accessories are needed. The position requires an irregular schedule that may include days, evenings, and every other weekend and/or holidays.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of clothing, footwear, and accessories.
• Ability to work an irregular schedule, including days, evenings, and every other weekend and/or holidays.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to frequently bend and twist.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.
• Customer service training and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distributing new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of the assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyers to communicate the department’s product needs and other product information.
• Assist with training and directing new department team members.
• Ensure employees and customers practice safety when handling merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
