About The Position

The Department Manager is responsible for merchandising and sales in the assigned Clothing/Footwear department at the Sioux Falls E. 10th Street location. The role provides a high level of customer service and reports to the Store Manager. The position requires the ability to work days, evenings, and every other weekend and/or holidays, along with extensive knowledge and understanding of clothing, footwear, accessories, and related products. The stated pay range is $17.00–$19.00, depending on experience.

The role involves directing and coordinating merchandising, managing product distribution and inventory, assisting customers, working with retail buyers, supporting new team members, and promoting safe merchandise handling. The working environment is a retail store. Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of clothing, footwear, accessories, and related products.
• Ability to work an irregular work schedule, including days, evenings, and every other weekend and/or holidays.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.
• Customer service training and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distributing new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of the assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyers to communicate assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with training and directing new department team members.
• Ensure employees and customers practice safety when handling merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
