Provide preventative, complex, and comprehensive dental care services. Examine patients, diagnose their dental/oral conditions, prescribe and/or carry out appropriate treatments. Record patient-dentist transactions in the patient’s dental records. Complete referrals, data collection instruments, and other records or paperwork. Ability to refer patients for specialty consultation or treatment if needed. Educate patients in oral health related conditions and prevention. Must be able to listen to concerns and suggestions and provide follow-up and feedback in a timely manner. Ability to calm nervous patients. Ability to respond effectively to patients of all ages. Train and evaluate assigned staff. Remain calm and professional under pressure. Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and resolve problems. Potential for mucous membrane or skin contact exposure to blood, fluids, or tissue. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), when appropriate, is required. Exposure to hazards or physical risks (i.e., Blood, Sharps, Needles), which requires following basic safety precautions. Will work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require knowledge and understanding of OSHA protocols. Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records. PHI (Protected Health Information) Compliance. Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with CC Idaho, Joint Commission, OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
