About The Position

A-Team Dental Staffing has partnered with a premier private dental practice in Los Angeles, CA, to identify an exceptional New Patient & Hygiene Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern, patient-centered practice where outstanding customer service, organization, and relationship-building are at the heart of everything we do. As the New Patient & Hygiene Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a seamless patient experience; from the very first phone call through scheduling, communication, and ongoing hygiene recare.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of dental front office experience
• Experience scheduling hygiene and new patient appointments
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology
• Familiarity with PPO insurance verification and benefits
• Experience managing hygiene recare and patient reactivation
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with MGE (Management by Objectives) systems and practice philosophies preferred
• Experience with dental practice management software: Open Dental, Weave
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Welcome new patients with professionalism and warmth
• Manage and optimize the hygiene schedule for maximum efficiency
• Schedule new patient appointments and coordinate treatment appointments
• Confirm appointments and minimize schedule gaps
• Monitor hygiene reactivation and recall systems
• Answer incoming calls and provide exceptional customer service
• Verify insurance benefits and update patient information
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, and the front office team
• Help create an outstanding five-star patient experience
