Dental Hygienist (Welcoming Bonus)
About The Position
Toledo Periodontics is hiring a Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality, patient-centered dental care in a modern practice environment. The role emphasizes attentive, concierge-level care, patient trust, prevention, and accurate documentation. Hygienists have one-hour recall appointments and work in a supportive setting focused on health rather than sales or production quotas. The practice offers career growth opportunities, including support from a Hygiene Executive Committee. The posted schedule is Monday 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; part-time opportunities may also be discussed. The role offers a salary of $45 per hour or more and a $5,000 welcoming bonus for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Hold an active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the applicable state.
- Hold current CPR (BLS) certification.
- Have exceptional working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and meticulous documentation.
- Hold any additional certification or license required by the state to perform specified duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner and build trust with patients.
- Identify signs of periodontal disease or potential oral cancers to support patients’ oral health.
- Document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints.
- Take X-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and record patient progress or changes.
- Perform oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending dentist.
- Handle emergency measures in response to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment.
- Provide instructions for at-home care and oral health maintenance.
