About The Position
The Dental Hygienist will join a dental practice in Burleson, Texas, providing preventive and therapeutic oral care to patients of all ages. This is a fee-for-service/PPO opportunity working four days a week. Compensation is competitive and includes a bonus; the exact compensation is based on experience and will be discussed. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Current Texas dental hygiene license and any required state or regional certifications.
- Proficiency with dental equipment, radiography, and practice management software.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing under a dentist’s supervision.
- Take and update patients’ dental and medical histories, X-rays, and periodontal charts.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow infection-control and safety protocols.
- Support patients with anxiety or special needs in a calm, respectful manner.
