About The Position

Generations Family Health Center is seeking a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join their mission-driven, team-based environment focused on delivering compassionate, community-centered care. This role involves providing preventive oral health services and patient education to children and adults in collaboration with dentists and the dental care team. The position offers a flexible schedule of 1-3 days per week (8-24 hours) and is located in Willimantic, CT.

Requirements

• Certificate/Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Current Connecticut Dental Hygienist license
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of patient screening, charting, medical history procedures, and documentation
• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, abbreviations, and techniques
• Strong communication and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients' overall oral health
• Performing dental hygiene examinations, cleanings, and polishing teeth
• Applying fluoride treatments and dental sealants
• Taking diagnostic dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Polishing restorations
• Providing oral hygiene education and preventive care guidance
• Setting up and preparing dental equipment and instrumentation
• Maintaining accurate patient documentation and records
• Performing other related duties as assigned
