Dental Assistant - Sign On Bonus
About The Position
The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to support high-quality patient care in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. The role is based in Hamilton Square, New Jersey, and is full-time, with one Saturday per month. The listed pay range is $24.00–$27.00 per hour, and the position currently offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The Dental Assistant helps patients feel comfortable throughout their visits, prepares patients and treatment rooms, and assists doctors and hygienists during procedures. The role also involves maintaining a clean and sterile clinical environment, managing instrument trays and supplies, and following infection control and office safety protocols. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Active New Jersey X-ray license.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with doctors and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
Nice To Haves
- Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Help patients feel comfortable and confident during dental visits by addressing their concerns and reinforcing trust in their doctor or hygienist.
- Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors and hygienists during dental procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.
- Escort patients to and from the front desk and help provide a smooth patient experience.
- Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
- Monitor operatory supplies, maintain inventory, and assist with ordering and restocking.
- Follow infection control, sterilization, and office safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
