About The Position

Centurion provides dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections and is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant at Florida State Prison in Raiford, Florida. The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of a Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist, assisting with chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. The role also involves preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and completing additional administrative tasks as needed. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant.
Certified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate, or ability to obtain one within the first six months of employment.
Florida Radiograph Certificate, or ability to obtain one within the first six months of employment.
Ability to pass a security clearance, including a drug screen, and complete a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
