About The Position

The Dental Assistant assists dentists and dental hygienists in providing primary care dental services to patients at the clinic or in the mobile oral health unit. The role also involves sterilizing, preparing, and maintaining inventory of dental instruments and supplies, and ensuring proper infection control in all patient-care areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Successful completion of a board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act.
• Successful completion of a board-approved course in X-Ray and infection control.
• Valid BLS certification or higher, following American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
• Valid California driver's license if assigned to Mobile Units.
• Successful completion of DOJ/FBI background clearance within 30 days of hire if assigned to Mobile Units.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting.
• Coronal Polishing Certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
