About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a Delivery Truck Driver to deliver materials to customers and support warehouse operations when not making deliveries. The role includes loading and unloading deliveries, handling customer returns, inspecting and maintaining the truck, and assisting with preparing and processing warehouse orders. The position is based in Kansas City, Missouri, and is described as field work. Compensation starts at $28 per hour and may be higher based on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime as needed. The role offers daily home time and no nights or weekends.

Requirements

Hold a valid CDL A.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
Currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Ability to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Nice To Haves

Background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Deliver materials to customers, using a pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload materials and ensuring the delivery ticket accompanies the material.
Pick up customer returns and validate that the product matches credit requests.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report problems or issues to a supervisor.
Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures.
Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed.
Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material.
Work overtime as needed.
Adhere to safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment, including a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
