About The Position
Delivery Experts deliver orders to customers and also perform general store-team duties. The role includes operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, completing inventory and paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Delivery Experts use a car to deliver products within a designated area, may deliver flyers and door hangers, and must navigate addresses and delivery locations, including multi-story buildings and adverse terrain. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement, including into management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license with at least one year of history and a safe driving record meeting company standards; must pass MVR qualifications.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to read maps, locate addresses in the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, follow written instructions, process orders, and make correct monetary change.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard or touch screen and coordinate eye and hand/finger movements to make precise movements quickly.
- Must be able to perform the listed physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs, and bending, crouching, and reaching.
- Must be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area, including carrying orders to customers’ doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate store equipment; stock ingredients; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete associated paperwork; and clean equipment and the facility.
- Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
- Unload and stock deliveries, move trays, and perform other store tasks as needed.
