About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers orders by car to customers within a designated delivery area and performs general store team-member duties. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for career advancement, including management. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Work involves operating equipment; stocking ingredients and supplies; preparing products; taking and processing telephone orders; taking inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. Delivery duties include bringing products to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires navigating delivery locations, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings, and may involve several deliveries per shift. The work environment includes in-store and delivery work, changing temperatures, hot equipment and surfaces, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and sometimes adverse weather. Physical tasks include standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies and orders, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching. Team members may need to carry loads of up to 50 pounds, and delivery routes may involve five or more flights of stairs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and other delivery sites.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to perform the described physical duties, including lifting and carrying supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs when delivering.
