About The Position

The Delivery Expert delivers pizzas and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, bringing orders from the vehicle to the customer’s door. Team members may also deliver flyers and door hangers and perform general store duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The role involves working with customers and co-workers, handling orders and payments, and using navigation skills to locate delivery addresses. Advancement opportunities may be available, including movement into management or franchise ownership.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Must be able to read maps, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Must be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Must have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Must coordinate eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Must be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and carry them to the customer’s door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and over the phone.
• Use maps and navigation skills to locate addresses and navigate delivery sites.
