About The Position

Deliver, sell, and merchandise PepsiCo beverages, including Pepsi, Gatorade, and Aquafina, by driving a route to serve local stores. The role involves unloading and merchandising products to store standards and building positive relationships to help ensure communities have access to quality beverages safely and on time. Routes may be established or contingency routes and may change from day to day. The relief schedule runs Monday through Saturday, with assigned schedules of either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days. The start time is 3:30 a.m.; the end time is until work is completed. The position is labor intensive and involves driving, lifting, loading, pushing and pulling cases, and merchandising in stores across a wide variety of weather conditions. Hands-on and classroom training are provided.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid CDL Class A License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and ability to follow DOT regulations. The posting notes that California location requirements vary: locations other than Stockton accept non-excepted intrastate or non-excepted interstate status; Stockton requires non-excepted interstate status.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to repeatedly lift, load, and push or pull a significantly high volume of cases weighing 20–45 pounds during work hours, with or without accommodation.
Ability to reach, squat, and bend while delivering and merchandising products in stores, with or without accommodation.
Ability to deliver products across a wide variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Safely drive a PepsiCo truck to deliver products on an established or contingency route; routes may change day to day.
Deliver products and execute promotions, ensuring every scheduled customer is serviced by the end of the shift.
Unload products and merchandise each account to local standards, including stocking shelves and displays, rotating inventory for freshness, and keeping products organized in backrooms and coolers as applicable.
Follow DOT regulations and safe work practices while driving, delivering, and handling products.
Build positive working relationships with store contacts.
Complete required daily paperwork, including invoices and settlement of cash or charges when applicable.
