About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers products by car to customers’ doors and may distribute flyers and door hangers. The role also performs general store team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position requires customer and co-worker communication, order-entry skills, accurate basic arithmetic and monetary change-making, and the ability to follow written instructions. Delivery work includes navigating the designated delivery area and potentially adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, while carrying products. The job involves working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather, and performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, and occasional stair or ladder climbing.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Have a minimum of one year of driving history.
• Have access to an insured, reliable vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Be able to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
• Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Have motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to perform the physical tasks described, including carrying delivery products and navigating stairs; deliveries may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
• Be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
