About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizza and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, including to customers’ doors. Drivers may also deliver flyers and door hangers and perform general store team-member duties, such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement, including management.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Have a minimum of one year of driving history.
Have access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Have navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Be able to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
Be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Have motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately, and be able to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including carrying products during delivery and navigating stairs; delivery may involve five or more flights of stairs.
Be able to work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

Deliver products by car and to customers’ doors within the designated delivery area; a team member may make several deliveries per shift.
Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Navigate to delivery addresses, including private homes, multi-story buildings, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Perform general store duties and work with team members to provide customer service.
