About The Position
H&C Pizza LLC, an independent Domino’s Pizza franchisee, is hiring delivery drivers for its Miramar Beach, Florida location. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within the franchise, including potential advancement to management. Drivers deliver orders by car and to customers’ doors, and also help in the store with pizza making, food preparation, and cleaning. Orientation and training are provided on the job. Team members may also perform general store duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The work involves driving in varying weather and navigating delivery locations, as well as working in a store with changing temperatures, hot surfaces, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The position requires standing, walking, carrying, lifting, reaching, and occasional stair or ladder navigation; deliveries may involve carrying products up several flights of stairs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to read a map, locate addresses in the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately, make correct monetary change, and process orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to carry out the physical tasks described, including lifting deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and carrying products during deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car within the designated delivery area and take orders to customers’ doors.
- Help in the store by making pizzas, preparing food, and cleaning.
- Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from delivery areas into storage and work areas.
- Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Use navigational skills to locate addresses and safely navigate delivery sites, including multi-story buildings.
