About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas and other products by car to customers within a designated delivery area, including carrying orders to customers’ doors. Drivers also assist in the store with pizza making, food preparation, cleaning, order taking and processing, stocking, inventory, and other general team-member duties. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position offers a flexible schedule and potential opportunities for advancement within the franchise organization.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
• Must be able to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements and ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
• Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and driving; product deliveries may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products by car to customers within the designated delivery area and carry orders to their doors.
• Assist with making pizzas and food preparation.
• Operate store equipment and stock ingredients and supplies from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Receive and process telephone orders and communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility, including performing outside tasks such as removing trash.
• Navigate delivery routes, including private homes, multi-story buildings, and other delivery sites.
• Unload and move product deliveries, including using a hand truck and stocking supplies.
