About The Position

The Delivery Driver delivers pizzas, sides, and beverages within a designated delivery area, traveling between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations. Drivers may make several deliveries per shift. The role also involves general hourly store-team-member duties, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, using company technology, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, cleaning equipment and the facility, and training on new products. Team members communicate with customers and coworkers to process orders in person and by phone. The job involves working in a store environment with variable temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and sometimes adverse weather during outdoor tasks. Most work is performed standing, with frequent reaching and hand use, and includes walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, bending, and occasional crouching or squatting. Delivery work may involve carrying orders and navigating stairs, including five or more flights. The driver must use the company Driver app and other Domino’s technology implemented by the company.

Requirements

Good communication skills, including verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
Ability to make correct monetary change.
Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise, rapid, and accurate movements.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to work independently and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to perform the physical duties described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, reaching, and delivery-related climbing and carrying.
Ability to use the Driver app and other company-implemented Domino’s technology.

Responsibilities

Deliver pizzas, sides, and beverages within a designated delivery area.
Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the vehicle to customer locations; make several deliveries per shift as needed.
Operate equipment and use company technology, including the Driver app and any Domino’s technology implemented by the company.
Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Continue on-the-job training for new products.
Communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move supplies to storage shelves.
