About The Position
Domino’s is seeking qualified delivery drivers to staff its stores. This position delivers products by car to customers’ doors and may also involve delivering flyers and door hangers. Drivers may make several deliveries during a shift and must navigate the designated delivery area, including multi-story buildings and other delivery sites. The role also includes general store team-member duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Orientation and training are provided on the job. The job offers a flexible schedule and potential opportunities for growth.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions, and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; may use a calculator.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately, and ability to enter orders on a keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to perform the listed physical activities, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping or bending, crouching or squatting, reaching, and hand/eye tasks.
- Ability to carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing, potentially including five or more flights of stairs.
- Ability to use far and night vision for driving and to distinguish hot and cold surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products by car to customers’ doors within a designated delivery area.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate to delivery addresses, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
- Operate store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare products and receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and over the phone.
- Make accurate monetary change and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
