About The Position
We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Delivery Driver in Independence, Louisiana. The driver delivers products directly to customers, represents the organization professionally, and works independently while contributing to a supportive team. The role requires safe and timely deliveries, accurate cash handling and paperwork, and consistent adherence to quality, safety, and delivery-time standards. Drivers must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, navigate stairs and varied delivery sites, and work in changing weather conditions. Flexible scheduling may include evenings and weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record that meets company standards (required).
- Access to an insured vehicle in good working condition for delivery purposes (required).
- Ability to navigate using maps and GPS technology and locate addresses within designated delivery areas.
- Strong directional skills for navigating multi-story buildings, private residences, and other delivery sites.
- Excellent verbal and written customer communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately, including making correct change.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport products weighing up to 50 pounds, navigate stairs, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, including prioritizing multiple deliveries.
- Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards and company policies.
