About The Position

Domino's is hiring delivery drivers to staff local stores. Drivers deliver orders within a designated area and may periodically assist with in-store tasks such as food preparation and cleaning. The position offers on-the-job orientation and training and opportunities to advance into management or other roles. Pay is $15.50 per hour, plus tips and mileage. Drivers must be at least 18, have a valid license and an insured, registered vehicle available for deliveries, and meet the company's driving-history standards. The work includes customer service, order taking, food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and other team-member duties. It involves navigating delivery locations and adverse terrain, including stairs and multi-story buildings, and performing physical tasks such as standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and bending.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and at least two years of licensed driving history in the United States, with documentation to prove it.
Must have an unsuspended or uninterrupted driving history for at least 1.5 years during the last two years.
Driving history must meet the stated limits on violations and at-fault accidents; no distracted or inattentive driving violations within the last three years and no serious violations within the last five years.
Must have a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery, be listed as an insured driver on its policy, and ensure the vehicle is registered.
Must be able to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying products.
Must possess customer-service, verbal communication, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Must be able to understand and give correct written instructions and communicate with customers and co-workers.
Must be able to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
Must have the motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make rapid, precise movements and use hands continuously for job tasks.
Must be able to use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Must be able to meet the role's physical demands, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
Must be able to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Responsibilities

Deliver orders to customers within the designated delivery area.
Provide customer service and communicate with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone.
Navigate to delivery addresses using maps and other navigational skills, including through adverse terrain and multi-story buildings.
Periodically assist with in-store tasks, including food preparation and cleaning.
Operate equipment and stock ingredients and supplies in storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
Receive and process telephone orders and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Take inventory and complete related paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility daily.
Unload and move product deliveries using a hand truck, and stock supplies on shelves.
Use a vehicle that passes periodic delivery-vehicle inspections for business purposes.
