About The Position
Gourmet Gang is hiring a dependable, team-oriented Deli Associate for its Suffolk team. Depending on the assigned station, the associate may prepare salads and sandwiches while maintaining food quality and freshness; greet customers, take orders, operate the register, and process payments; answer calls and take phone orders; or check and package orders for accuracy and timely service. All team members help with opening and closing duties, maintain clean and organized workspaces, provide excellent customer service, and assist other stations as needed. Duties may include washing dishes, mopping, taking out trash, restocking restroom supplies, and completing other assigned tasks. Available shifts fall between Monday and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. The position is part-time. Additional opportunities may be available to train and become certified as a Gang Server, Bartender, or Setup/Take Down Crew member and join the catering staff for events.
Requirements
- Customer service experience, preferably in a food service setting.
- Food preparation experience.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.

- Base pay of $14 per hour with a tip pool guaranteed to average at least $15 per hour; current base pay with tip pool averages between $15 and $18 per hour.
