About The Position

Buc-ee’s is seeking passionate Deli/Food Service Associates who enjoy working with food and serving customers. Associates work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and may learn and work at a variety of stations preparing BBQ, baked goods, sandwiches, tacos, jerky, and other food items. The role involves preparing food according to company recipes, maintaining safe and sanitary work practices, operating ordering and transaction systems, and providing responsive, professional service to customers and coworkers. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Restaurant or retail experience preferred; kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, or service staff experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to walk or stand for 8 hours or more.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, climb, reach, balance, push, and pull, including product or material weighing 40 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery offerings, jerky, fudge, BBQ, and other restaurant menu items.
• Prepare Buc-ee’s food service offerings according to prescribed recipes and maintain recipe confidentiality.
• Adhere to company culinary recipes and measurements.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ensure safe food handling.
• Use menu ordering kiosks, the Kitchen Management System, and transaction devices competently.
• Maintain a clean workstation while quickly executing customer orders.
• Communicate responsively with store management and fellow associates.
• Safely and effectively use kitchen equipment and appliances, including floor mixers, slicers, ovens, sharp knives, and fryers.
• Interact professionally with team members and customers.
• Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Work a rotating schedule that may alternate between day and night as needed.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
