About The Position

Buc-ee’s is seeking passionate Deli/Food Service Associates who enjoy working with food and meeting customer needs. Associates may work across a variety of stations preparing BBQ, baked goods, sandwiches, tacos, jerky, and other menu items. The role suits quick learners who can work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, move quickly, and interact positively with customers and coworkers. The position offers opportunities for advancement. The listed pay is $25 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Restaurant or retail experience preferred; kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, or service staff experience is a plus.
• Ability to walk or stand for 8 hours or more.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, climb, reach, balance, push, and pull, including product or material weighing 40 pounds or more.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Develop culinary skills while preparing bakery offerings, jerky, fudge, BBQ, and other restaurant menu items.
• Prepare Buc-ee’s food service menu offerings according to prescribed recipes and maintain recipe confidentiality.
• Follow Company culinary recipes and measurements.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ensure safe food handling.
• Use menu ordering kiosks, a Kitchen Management System, and transaction devices competently.
• Maintain a clean workstation while quickly executing customer orders.
• Communicate responsively with store management and fellow associates.
• Safely and effectively use kitchen equipment and appliances, including floor mixers, slicers, ovens, sharp knives, and fryers.
• Interact professionally with team members and customers.
• Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed, and work a rotating schedule that may alternate between day and night.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
