About The Position

Buc-ee’s is seeking passionate Deli/Food Service Associates who enjoy working with food and serving customers in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Associates learn and work across a variety of stations, preparing BBQ, baked goods, sandwiches, tacos, jerky, fudge, and other menu items. The role requires quick, friendly customer service, safe and efficient food preparation, and flexibility to perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Restaurant or retail experience preferred; kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, or service staff experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to walk or stand for 8 hours or more.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, climb, reach, balance, push, and pull, including product or material weighing 40 lbs. or more.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
• Kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, or service staff experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop culinary skills while preparing bakery offerings, jerky, fudge, BBQ, and other restaurant menu items.
• Prepare Buc-ee’s food service offerings according to prescribed recipes while maintaining confidentiality.
• Follow company culinary recipes and measurements.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ensure safe food handling.
• Use menu ordering kiosks, the kitchen management system, and transaction devices competently.
• Maintain a clean workstation while executing customer orders quickly.
• Communicate responsively with store management and fellow associates.
• Safely and effectively use kitchen equipment and appliances, including floor mixers, slicers, ovens, sharp knives, and fryers.
• Interact professionally with team members and customers.
• Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed and a rotating schedule that may alternate between day and night.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
