About The Position

The Deli Cook/Cashier performs culinary, counter, and sanitation services in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. The role includes cooking and cashiering while preparing and serving food and drinks. The position is in the Foods department, reports to the Food Service Manager/Shift Supervisor, has no supervisory responsibilities, and has a varying tour of duty.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must obtain a non-gaming license upon hire.
Ability to handle diverse situations and/or people.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent guest service skills.
Flexible availability to work any shifts, including occasional short-notice shifts.
Excellent computer literacy.
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and lift 30 pounds or more.
Ability to continually carry up to 20 pounds.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Ability to tolerate varying noise levels, temperatures, and air quality.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent guest service to guests and internal clients through courteous, friendly greetings.
Keep guest areas clean, including removing dirty dishes and other service utensils.
Enter and control orders through the register during each transaction, maintain accountability, and provide receipts for all food served.
Follow recipe specifications in the manual for setup and cold preparations, maintaining quality and consistency.
Label and rotate foods to maintain a high-quality environment.
Set up service stations and keep them clean and properly stocked.
Perform general sanitation, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping kitchen areas.
Clean kitchen equipment according to the manual and return it to its proper place.
Perform opening and closing duties according to departmental and casino policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
