About The Position

Slices, packages, weighs, and sells deli products, including meats and cheeses. Maintains the presentation and cleanliness of the deli and its display cases, and assists Members with product selections, questions, and special orders. The role includes preparing party trays, receiving and inspecting shipments, stocking and rotating products, and following food-safety, freshness, handling, and equipment-safety procedures. Team members are expected to provide friendly service, support club policies and standards, work collaboratively, and maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds; heavier or awkward objects over 50 pounds may need to be lifted and moved with assistance.
• Ability to move frequently on hard surfaces and occasionally bend, handle, pull, reach, or stoop.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in a deli department.
• Experience operating manual or power slicers and scales.
• Knowledge of deli products.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service to Members; answer questions, recommend deli items, and help Members select products.
• Answer Member calls and take special orders.
• Slice, package, and weigh deli products, including meats and cheeses; ensure items are weighed and priced accurately.
• Offer product samples to help Members make purchasing decisions.
• Prepare and package special orders and party trays.
• Receive and inspect deli shipments.
• Display, stock, rotate, and store products according to food-safety, freshness, and handling procedures.
• Ensure products are fresh and meet company quality standards; check daily for out-of-date products and follow salvage procedures.
• Maintain variety in deli cooler shelves and display cases, and replenish items as needed.
• Operate deli equipment safely and in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces, including rotisserie ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, and the deli cooler.
• Ensure scale systems are in working order.
• Follow club policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Support a safe, positive, inclusive environment and work with the team to meet daily club standards.
