About The Position

As a Deli Clerk at Broulim’s, you will serve customers in the deli department and provide a selection of high-quality deli products. The role includes slicing meats and cheeses, preparing deli trays, and helping create a positive shopping experience. You will also support department operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas, handling inventory, and working with the deli team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic deli products and preparation techniques.
• Ability to handle deli department equipment safely.

• Precision in slicing and weighing deli products.
• Basic organizational skills for stocking and arranging products.

• Must be at least 16 years old to operate fryers and ovens, and at least 18 years old to operate the slicer.

Responsibilities

• Assist deli customers by providing product information and recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, and package deli meats and cheeses according to customer specifications.
• Create and assemble deli trays and platters for special orders, events, and catering orders.
• Keep the deli counter area clean and organized, including regularly sanitizing equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and stock deli products, rotating inventory to maintain freshness.
• Operate deli equipment, such as slicers and scales, according to safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.
